Director of Information Technology
Under the direction of the CFO, this position is responsible for all aspects related to the Information Services and Technology of this health care facility. This is the highest ranking position in the IT department.

  • You must either live within commutable distance to the Somerset, PA area or be willing to relocate if chosen for this critical position.
  • Our client will provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Our client is not able to sponsor an H1B VISA HOLDER at this time.
  • This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
    Other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Identify, acquire and manage information systems needs, acquisitions, installation and operations.
  • You will be responsible to direct the Information Technology Strategic Plan.
  • You will provide leadership to ensure the institution’s computer systems provide required, necessary and accurate data to all Executive Management.
  • Maintain departmental operating expenses within the approved budget.
  • You will serve on the capital equipment committee and manage IS related acquisitions and installations within budget and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for providing monthly statistics to Senior Management that include but are not limited to, create and run SQL reports accumulation statistical data, Audit data for accuracy, generate monthly departmental reports for all departments, generate administrative monthly reporting package, create/update the business office’s monthly reports.
  • You will be responsible for creating SQL reports on as needed basis, generating case mix reports through medical records, creating and updating Medical Assistance, Blue Cross and Medicare casemix reports.
  • You will provide quarterly reports to the finance committee.
  • You will maintain forms and menus for Star Systems.
  • Serve as the primary application software support for general accounting.
  • Practice and support quality improvement processes.
  • Work directly with the Compliance Officer and committee to ensure and in-depth understanding of the organizations initiatives towards compliance and ensure consistency within the department and organization.
  • You will be responsible for all activities regarding compliance with the rules and regulations that effect your department and organization. Also develop corrective actions plans to address compliance issues. Initiate appropriate disciplinary action when required to ensure compliance standards.
  • Review results of compliance auditing and monitoring activities in an effort to improve/maintain compliance within the department and organization.
  • Comply with all State, Federal and JCAHO guidelines.


    Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Accounting.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Information Technology Manager within a Health Care setting. You may be considered if you do not have the Health Care experience requirement.

  • You must have in-depth experience with MS Sequel statistics and reports.

  • Experience with Star Systems is a huge plus.

  • Presence and poise to interact with senior executive management and to effectively project the appropriate image for the Institution.

  • The successful candidate will have key qualities of leadership and management skills coupled with in-depth knowledge of information systems.

  • This is a “Hands On” technical management position working in a department consisting of 6 direct report technical employees that include but are not limited to, Technical Systems Specialist, Clinical Systems Analyst and Computer Operations.



    Compensation

  • Base salary $80,000 to $95,000
  • Eligible to participate in Company profit sharing program
